The spring 2022 series of Later…with Jools Holland continues. This series sees the return of both established and emerging artists, playing back in the round together from the Alexandra Palace Theatre in North London.

This episode features performances from Liam Gallagher; Grammy Award-winning Malian Wassoulou; singer Oumou Sangaré, plus debuts from Belgian duo Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul and Irish musician Sinead O’Brien. Plus, Jools will be chatting to Liam Gallagher, who will pick a classic performance from the Later… archives.

In the first episode of Later… – now available to watch on BBC iPlayer – Jools was joined at the Alexandra Palace Theatre by Wet Leg, Obongjayar, Joe Bonamassa and Cat Burns.

The 13th series of the BAFTA-winning behemoth continues, as Ardal O’Hanlon, Bridget Christie, Chris Ramsey, Judi Love and Sophie Duker battle it out in a series of pointless tasks as they bid to win Greg Davies’ revered golden noggin. The best will be rewarded with points, while the least best will find themselves on the wrong end of the Taskmaster’s notoriously sharp tongue. A sound knowledge of food and drink is required this time, as Ardal O’Hanlon indulges in a plant-based snack, and liquids are poured down a giant tube on Sophie Duker’s head. Elsewhere, Judi Love impresses the Taskmaster with tales of celebrity encounters, Bridget Christie browns a bun, and Chris Ramsey refuses to consume dried spaghetti.
