Exhausted chip shop manager Maxine (Morgana Robinson, The Windsors) tries to ride out her divorce and find someone who actually lights her fire. However, it’s easier said than done with her big-mouthed, soft-bellied, son, Leslie (Jai Hollis, Ruth & Safiya) dramatically coming out as gay to the surprise of no one and her dullard ex-husband, Terry (Mathew Horne, Gavin & Stacey), trying ever more desperately to win her back.

The comedy also stars Beverley Callard (Coronation Street) as Maxine’s mother Pauline, Nina Wadia (The Sandman) as Heather, Saskia Chana (The Bisexual) as Claire, Jessie Mae Alonzo (Little Joe) as Amber, and Vahid Gold (Emerald City) as Rudy.

Episode 3

Leslie and Amber go on a double date with high expectations and low standards, and Pauline hatches her most deranged plan yet.
