Six-foot gym owner and ex-military man Richard is paired with Emilia. Despite his muscular appearance, he is a sensitive soul who loves musicals and Harry Potter, and his Asperger’s leaves him unable to read what others are thinking, so mid-date he is forced to ask Emilia how he is doing. Meanwhile, 40-year-old hotelier Andy arrives at Vesuvius for his first ever date with a man, 37-year-old bouncer Joseph, and police officer Angie hooks up with car salesman Tom, who is determined to leave his stereotypical lad image behind.

Fred from First Dates invites single people to his very own summer season of love at a luxury hotel in the south of France.
