Meet Cam and Oli, best mates and partners in grime. The two 26 year-olds from the West Midlands started their waste management business during lockdown, and soon found out there’s money to be made.

Now the boys are facing their biggest challenge: when their business loses out on a £50k job, they stop at nothing to keep themselves on track.

Filthy Business is a lighthearted single doc showing the highs and lows of being your own boss. We follow Cam and Oli from a 5am bin collection in Birmingham, to clearing an animal enclosure in West Midlands Safari Park, to demolishing a garden full of sheds. We also see Cam and Oli wrestling with the dilemma faced by every fresh start-up: how do you grow your company while maintaining some work-life balance?

Cam and Oli met as kids through their love of rugby. But now that business is taking off, they’re both questioning their commitment to the game: can they afford to get injured when their work is so physical? Set against the backdrop of the West Midlands, Filthy Business is not just a tribute to friendship and entrepreneurship, it’s a celebration of the boys’ hometown of Bromsgrove and the wider region.
